Hey. (:

Sorry for not updating for 3 weeks already. : ( It's just that school was really taking up my time.
With Strides, homework, club, and classes, I only had a little time left for computer time.
But now, that's all fixed. :DD I'll try to update as much as I can from now on. :))

`Kay. So today and tomorrow are our home study days.
What? Home Study Days. It's when you study at home. :DD
Well, you think, "2 days without school!" Awesome sauce, right?

NO. Yes, no.

Why? Well, in exchange for that, you have to do more than 5 long homeworks [ we have 7. ] to be passed on Monday the next week.

So much for awesome sauce. :DD

Well, I better get to work. I'm already done with 3: Language Part 2, Music and Filipino. Starting on CLE now. :)

Better go now if I want to finish it. :))

The Call and The Chat.

Hey again. :]

1st post for the month of October! =)))))

Okay, today was pretty normal, as normal as the past few days. :)) Played some online games, snacked, listened to music, etc. But what made today different was 2 things: "The Call" and "The Photo Chat". =))))

Let`s start with "The Call".
Yes, a telephone call. =))) Normal as ever, but guess who was on the other end of the line?
Mrs. Pallones. Yes. Grade 6 GLC [ Grade Level Coordinator ]. =)))) She just said the YM message passed around yesterday: Classes resume on Monday, October 5. ; Bring small bag [ no need to bring books ], pen and paper, and snacks. ; You can wear casual if you were affected, etc. =)))
Normal, but I never thought she`d really call. My other friends and classmates said she or some other teachers called them too, but I never thought she`d call me. Weird. =))))))))

Okay, next: "The Photo Chat".
What`s a Photo Chat? Exactly that. It`s a feature in YM where you can share some pictures with the one who you`re chatting with. Cathy, one of my classmates, chatted with me sometime after lunch. It was just a normal conversation, until she told me: "I`ll share some pics of MC being flooded." WOW. WOW. OH, WOW. =)))))) MC. was. totally. flooded. :))) The field, the MMJ court, the classrooms, the corridors. WOW. =)))))) Haha. :))

Well, yeah. That`s about it for today. I played tons of RC and PS [ Restaurant City and Pet Society ] today. =))))) Trying to level up again. :))

Facebook is Getting Addicting Again.

Hey. :]

It`s the Last Day of September. =)) [ In the Philippines, that is ;; I`m pretty sure you already know that. =))) ]

Well today, there are still no classes. Classes in MC resume on Monday [ October 5 ] pa.
Oh, and I just found out: If you were affected by Bagyong Ondoy, you can wear casual on Monday. Unfortunately, it`s just for the affected students. Our house wasn`t flooded, and my uniform is okay, so I have to wear that on Monday. :( It`s okay. I know some other people who are going to wear uniform on Monday. ; ) :))

Okay. Boredom entered the room again and as a way to get rid of it, I played some games on Facebook. WOW. My friends were right: Facebook games are really addicting. =)))))
I`m trying to level up on some of the games, like Restaurant City and Pet Society. :) Actually playing RC right now. =))) It`s just soooo fun! =)))))))

Well, I guess that`s all for now. Watching this movie called "Whispers: An Elephant`s Tale" on Disney. I`m a bit bored again. =)))

Finally Fixed.

Hey! I`m finally back for good. [ Well, I think ] =))))

Okay, sorry again for not updating my blog. My laptop broke again and my parents got it fixed. Well, now it`s finally fixed again and I`m back online. So, yeah. =)))

Well, this weekend, there was a big storm that came to the Philippines ;; BAGYONG ONDOY.
One word - WOW. Yes, wow. Ang daming nangyari.
Well, our house wasn`t flooded, but we did have a lot of leaks on the ceiling. LOTS.
We had to move our beds in so that they won`t get wet.
Lots of news updates were up and well, things weren`t going too well.
Many sad things happened. [ Don`t even want to mention them. ]
Some of my classmates and friends` houses were flooded. :(
News said that there`s no classes today and tomorrow.

SO, YEAH.

I think MC was flooded too, so yeah.
I`m free today and until tomorrow. Don`t really know what I`m going to do `til then.
Just watch TV, surf the `Net and do other random stuff, I guess. =)))

Well, I have to go now. Watching Camp Rock on Disney. Total Boredom. :))

After 2 Weeks.

Hey guys! (: I`m finally back. :]

So, why did I just update now? Well, to simply put it in words: My laptop`s charger broke.
My parents had to bring it over to a computer shop and they just finished fixing it today.
So, yeah.

Putting in 2 weeks of info in one blog post would take a long time, so let`s just talk about the highlight of the 2 weeks: PTC. [ Parent-Teacher Conference ]

Well, it was on September 11, 2009. My dad was the one who got my report card and well, I came with him. Well, I did get pretty good scores in the academics part, but I got 4 VS scores [ Very Satisfactory ;; 85 - 89 ] in the PDM [ Personality Development Mark ]. So, yeah. :]

Oh, and Strides started this week. Strides is like the High Achievers class in school. We meet every Wednesday and Friday. I`m in the Strides for Math. :) We went over our assessment tests on the first meeting. I got -11 on it. Got most of my minuses on the problem solving part. :)) The word problems were HARD. =))

So, yeah. Those were the highlights of the week. :) See ya. (:

Sorry for not posting Fair-O-Mania Part 2 yesterday. I had to post my TG [ Total Girl Philippines ] Shop Request Forms. :] I`ll post what happened the past 2 days now. :)

Fair-O-Mania Part 2

Okay, I don`t really remember much, but let`s talk about the highlight of the day: The Horror Maze.

`Kay. Well, me, Carla and Cheska wanted to go to the Horror Maze, Peek-A-Boo, run by 6-Luntian. :] But we were sort of scared, so when we found out Jan, Bernice and Lauren were [ scared ] going there too, we came with them.
First, we bought are tickets and waited for the group of third-graders to finish the maze. They didn`t. A third-grader cried and they had to turn on the lights. We got scared even more. Then Shiela [ Sherrie`s sister ] was at the entrance and she was telling us some stories about what`s inside. Even more scared. We started holding hands so that we wouldn`t get lost. Then when the third-graders came out, [ some of them were shaking ] it was our turn to go inside the room. Okay, no turning back now.
When we got to the maze, I instantly closed my eyes, but opened it a little. There were many weird, scary and sort of funny things that happened inside. There was a Sadako girl who came at us when we turned a corner. Many scarers were grabbing our feet to distract us. In the middle of the maze, the "guides" [ non-scarers, just there to guide you through the maze and reassure you. :)) ] said that if we don`t get out in 2 minutes, we have to stay for another 3 minutes. We hurried to get out. And we did. My heart was beating fast when we got out. That was a really cool experience. :))

Then, we went back to the booth. There were many people playing. There was this girl named Angel who played bowling about 10 times. :)) Thanks! Then there were weird moments, like this girl who used her shoe as her wallet! =)))) L A U G H T R I P. :))

So, yeah. Those are the highlights of yesterday. :)

Fair-O-Mania Part 3

Okay, let`s talk about what happened today. ;]

Today, I was one of the earliest to come to the booth. :] Chamille showed us a video of Ms. Ramos, Ms. Magno, Ms. Bamba and Mr. Torralba dancing and singing in 5-Tambuli`s booth, Karaoke. :] Haha. =))
Then, after about 30-40 minutes, the morning ceremony started. Then attendance was checked. Many people were absent, including my friends, Danielle and Carla. So it was only me and Cheska for the day. I think the reason why almost half the class was absent was because we were half-day that day. [ Dismissal @ 11:30 am. ] So, yeah. Me and Cheska just hanged out at the booth. We ate snow cone and pizza. :)) Speaking of snow cone, try the flavor Tiger Blood. It tastes AWESOME! :) [ Thanks Angelly for introducing me to it. :) ] Okay, then back to hanging out at the booth. At around 10 am, many people were starting to come. It was a shift rush. I helped manage the booth. :) Then Ms. Pallones came and told us to close the booth at around 5-10 minutes before 11 am. We were packing some things up already when some kids came and wanted to play. It was so weird [ and funny at the same time. :)) ] saying "Sorry, we`re closed already." =))) Then we closed the booth and it was dismissal. :)

So, yeah. Those are what happened the past 2 days. :]

Fair-O-Mania Part 1.

Hey There! =) Back. :]

1st post of September! =))))

Sorry for not posting the past few days. It`s my mom`s birthday on Saturday and me and my other family members are planning something for her. :)

`Kay. Moving on.

I`m guessing the title`s weird. And it is. =))) Because today was pretty weird too. :))

Today was our grade school fair! =)) Yeah, okay. So, here`s how the day went by.

Okay, so I came to school at about 6:20 a.m. About 15 people were already waiting in the corridor of the 6-Lila classroom by the time I got there. :]
`Kay. When almost all of us were there, Sir Torralba brought us to the field for the opening ceremony of the fair. It was HOT out there. Many people had their caps on and their umbrellas up. Since I was near the front of the line, some of the teachers lent us a fan and me, Kristel and Sherrie took turns fanning each other. =)) In the ceremony, there was the prayer, the singing to the National Anthem, the blessing of the fair grounds and finally, the opening of the fair. So yeah. [ =)) ]
Then we went to our booth in the MMJ. Our booth`s called BASKETBOWL, short for Basketball and Bowling. So, yeah. Then the first shift started. Our shift was the last for today. Let`s get to that later. So, back to the booth. We hanged out in the booth for a few minutes, then we roamed around and bought food. Then, we went around the fair grounds and, yeah. Oh, I got caught by the Jail Booth. Was there for 10 minutes. Danielle got caught too. Had to wait for her. =)
Then when we got out, we roamed around again. =)) Total boredom. Then I played twice in our booth. I got 10 baskets on the first game and 8 baskets on the second game. =)) I got lots of bands and telephone cord bracelets. I have 18 of them now. =))))
Then at around 11 a.m., all the Grade 5 & 6 classes went to the 2nd floor cafe to watch the variety show. First, Mr. Labrador played the violin piece. Then Mr. Lesaca [ dad of Grade 5 GLC, Ms. Lesaca. :) ] and Mr. Labrador played another violin piece together. Then Mr. Lesaca played different sounds. One of them even sounded like a real siren! =))) Then the Bayanihan Dance Troupe performed different folk dances. It was pretty cool. =)))
Then after the variety show, back to going around the fair grounds. =))) Then it was our turn to have our shift. It was the last shift of the day. :] I never expected to have many people come to our booth that day. :) After our shift, I had to remit the chits and tickets to the teachers in the Conference Room since I was the treasurer of the group. Sir told me to go to the conference room and give the chits, while Carla and Cheska came with Sir to the faculty room to return the fair booth boxes. He also told me to give back the "On Duty" IDs. When I got there, I had to count the chits again to make sure that it`s the right amount. Then when I was going to give the IDs back, Ms. Gabuat told me to give it back to Sir Torralba. I said okay and went out to go back to the MMJ to give him the IDs back. Guess what he was doing? Playing Dance Dance Revolution in 6-Kahel`s booth with Ms. Guerrero! =)))) [ Know what? Other sudents say the Mr. Torralba and Ms. Guerrero look cute together. :)) ] Almost every Kahel student was there. =))) Then I had to wait for them to finish since I can`t bring the IDs home. It was pretty fun watching them play. Haha. =)))) Ms. Guerrero won! Yay! Haha. =)))))
Then, I gave back the IDs and went to the Ballet Center gate to meet up with Danella and Khate [ my busmates ] and wait for Kuya Boyet. =))

^ That was a cool first day of the fair. :) Watch out for what happens tomorrow. =))

The Hard Work Paid Off.

Hey-a! =) Isabelle here again. :]
Sorry, for not updating for the past few days. I`ve been really busy with homework and school preparations. =)

`Kay. Well, this week was "Linggo ng Kultura" [ Culture Week ] in our school. And today was our presentation. So, let`s start the story.

Before Classes Started: Annika, Laya, Ronna and Sherrie were part of the Sabayang Pagbigkas. [ The inter-school one. =) ] Everyone in class said good luck. =) Read on to see what happened. =)
Homeroom: Well, as normal as usual. Mr. Torralba gave us our fair tickets. [ Yes, our fair is next week. ;) ]
Computer: Okay. Today, Ms. Bamba told us that we will miss 2 meetings of class. [ We only have a double-period computer class once a week: Friday. ] She made us do a seatwork on Desktop Publishing and Microsoft Publisher. I barely finished in time. Couldn`t find anything on the `Net, and the internet was slow. SLOW.
Recess: Okay, had recess with Kristel, Carla and Cheska. Had ice cream for recess. It`s the 3rd time in a row now. Just so gooooood. =))
Filipino: We practiced for the LNK presentation. Ms. Concepcion gave our group lots of tips. =) Thanks Miss!
PE: If you remembered reading awhile ago, Sherrie was part of the Sabayang Pagbigkas Competition. She was also my partner in the Cariñosa. Since Selene`s partner was also absent, we became partners. It was fun. Cousin and Cousin. =))) We learned the 3rd today. I think I`ve got a little hang of it. :)
Lunch: One word. Hectic. I had to dress in my costume and run back up stairs to get the Concept Paper Handbook [ pp. 21-22 ] and photocopy it for Language class. Again, hectic. =)))
Math: Okay, today we had the 1st test of the quarter. It was pretty easy. I think I did okay. :]
Then Annika, Laya, Ronna and Sherrie came back. They won! Champion! =)))
AP: Okay, here comes the presentation. As I said awhile ago, I was one of the emcees. Ms. Mainit was our judge. Well, I think our group did okay, but there`s always room for improvement. After our presentation, I finally knew our hard work paid off. =) When Ms. Mainit was going to announce the winners, everyone was at the edge of their seats. And WE WON! =)) And I will admit, Group 1 did their best. At the end, no had hard feelings and everyone was a winner. =)
Language: I passed Part 1 of my concept paper. We also had our oral test today. My partner was Liana. We both did our best. =) Hoping for good scores for both of us! =)
Reading: We had our short skit. Cathy finally put her hair down. She looked like a real princess. =)))) In the skit, I was the narrator and the scientist. Ms. Luque gave us an O, which is the 2nd best score. :] Thanks Miss!
Science: Okay, we had the test on climate and weather today. After the test, we exchanged papers with our seatmates and checked them. I got, so far, perfect. =) [ So far because we didn`t check the essays. Ms. Peralta told us that she`ll check them. :) ]

Okay, that`s how the day went. Have to go now. Preparing for the fair. =)

Rainy Days and Mondays.

Well, hey again! =)
Such a weird title, right? =)))) You`ll find out why.

Okay, well today has been sort of weird and crazy, but also inspiring and fun. =)
Today, our class, Lila, had its recollection in the air-conditioned, 3rd floor function rooms near the library. =)
Well, today, everyone in school had to wear Filipiniana in celebration of Buwan ng Kultura. Our section didn`t have to wear Filipiniana because it was our recollection. =))) 1 point.
Next, we didn`t have classes today, because the whole day we were in the function room. 2 points.
Then, we had air-condition, which is lucky, because all the other classrooms are not air-conditioned and it was HOT today. During the flag ceremony, we had to stay in our classroom and it was hot. Some people from other sections were complaining because they had their costumes on. But we didn`t. =))) 3 points.

AND LILA WINS! =))) Haha. That was so random. =))))

Well, okay. Today, we didn`t have classes, we didn`t have to wear a costume and we didn`t have to stand the heat, but we did have to stand the freezing temperature of the room. We didn`t actually know that temperature, but let me tell you, it was COLD in that room. =))))

Okay, so to start off the day, Mr. Eulalia said we had confession with the priest. I was sort of nervous, but I got through it ok. Then we had Ms. Guerrero as our guest speaker. She gave her insights about prayer and all. Then we had a reflection in our Journal notebooks. Then recess came. We had to eat in the other room. I bought Raisinettes from the house. My mom bought a lot of `em. Then, after recess back to reflecting and learning about God and prayer. Then here comes lunch. Lunch was a little rambly and out-of-control. =)))))) The "popular" group of the class said that there was a ghost in the downstairs bathroom. So, yeah, lunch. =)
Then we got back to reflecting and learning. Then when it was almost done, it rained. It wasn`t that hard [ I think ], but it was pretty hard. =)) So, yeah. Then the wrap-up video really struck me. It inspired me to be a better daughter, student, friend, and follower of God. =)
Okay, then it was dismissal. =)))

That`s what happened today. So, I think`s that it. Oh, and Up was really nice. We watched it yesterday. [ My parents said to just watch it on Sunday. ] It taught me a really good lesson: To cope with change and learn to sacrifice. Also, it was soooo funny. =)))

Well, hello. :] You`ve stumbled upon my newly-made blog, The Inked Timeline.
Oh, sorry. I didn`t even introduce myself. I`m Isabelle. A sixth-grader who lives in the Philippines. :)
I found my way onto this crazy planet, Earth on the 19th day of March on the year 1998. =)) I`ve been celebrating 11 years of randomness now. =))
I love my books, my notebook, my camera, my iPod, the TV, the Internet and many other random things on Earth. :))
